Explore and Disconnect: The Must-Have Camping Checklist for Outdoor Enthusiasts

Picture this: you take in a deep breath of crisp, fresh air; it’s not quite cold enough to see your exhale, but you and your family are huddled and bundled under multiple layers of clothing and blankets. You gaze up at the night’s stars, squirming and pointing to constellations and planets. You realize how vastly different the night sky looks without light pollution; similarly to how much more joy your family’s togetherness yields without the distractions and chaos of everyday life. This is the type of luxury we crave. Until our off-grid, tiny home is complete, we find these luxuries in camping/glamping. The most important key to experiencing this as a luxury however, is to be prepared! Whether you're a seasoned camper or just starting to explore the wonders of the wilderness, having a comprehensive checklist is key to always ensure a smooth and stress-free trip. Sleeping Pad 😴

A good night's sleep can be hard to achieve outdoors, but we found a high-quality sleeping pad that has made all the difference. We love the inflatable Klymit sleeping pad because its memory foam provides the right balance of comfort and insulation for a restful night of sleep.

Sleeping Bags 🛌

Our family varies in size and height, so we had to find sleeping bags that fit our individual needs.

• Big + Tall - For Eric because he is well over 6 ft tall!

• Mummy Style - For me because I need full coverage and hate being cold!

• Toddler One-Piece Sleeping Bag - My toddler hates being under covers, so he has to wear his sleeping bag.

10 Person Tent 🏕️

When it comes to camping with family, having space can make for a more comfortable experience. The CORE 10 Person Tent is a home away from home, with plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax. It says it fits 10 people which we have yet to try, but with just the 4 of us it’s the perfect cozy setup.

Who says camping meals have to be basic? We had to elevate our camping meal prep and cooking setup with this sectional folding table!
